Caricature Prints of a whole heffing heap of musical greats coming your way people!
Bedecked in unlikely colours to brighten up your wall(and frankly, your lockdown), I’ve got an increasingly large roster of legends available as caricature prints. So far we have a dog-nervous Iggy Pop in blue, pink and yellow, astral David Bowie in red, pink and purple, and as a test I threw in the all-abiding ‘Dude’ from the Big Lebowski, played by Jeff Bridges, just because he’s cool. Other legends I’ve got my caricature eye on include Rihanna, Elton John, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse and Beyonce, but I’m open to suggestions for any musical legends who exude fabulousness, talent and/or cool.
As well as square 21X21cm caricature prints in frames of which I’m offering for £17.50(not inc postage), I’m offering A4 framed caricature prints for £20. If you’re interested in the original works of art they wont be much more expensive so ping me a message if you’re keen.
Some of you keen observers may notice my David Bowie caricature finished, peaking out from behind Lebowski! It was a real struggle getting his features right for some reason. Thankfully posca pens can be layered and layered and layered, so I kept going over what I had done until I was happy. I think overall the lesson I took from that was to not start filling in with colour until I’m super happy with the form, and to avoid dark false colours for the skintones as I then had to use my white posca pen to bring out the features with highlights.
The finished product is ghostly and ethereal, which is not too out of character for Bowie so I think we’re okay!
