Hi 2021, Pen Jones here, good to be back! The coffee is on and I’m just getting revved up to do my first few commissions of the year.
As with all years, the first few months of the year are quiet ones for a cartoonist for hire, so I tend to use those quiet months to develop my craft and try new things.
In that spirit, the first few drawings I’ll share with you are some recent life drawings, ‘Blob-icatures’* and a visualisation of me trying to get inspired for the year and imagine how I’ll push my craft.
Expect a lot more storytelling in the caricatures this year.
